Hatbox Ghost 25 Years of Pin Trading Chaser

This Disneyland Resort (DLR) Hidden Disney 2025 Wave A Chaser pin celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Disney Pin Trading, featuring the iconic Hatbox Ghost from the Haunted Mansion attraction. The pin depicts the Hatbox Ghost in his signature top hat and cloak, holding his hatbox, against a blue background with a small star. A subtle Mickey Mouse head icon is visible, denoting its status as a Hidden Mickey pin. Prominently displayed at the bottom of the pin is the text "25 YEARS OF PIN TRADING" in a glittery, silver-toned font, highlighting the significant milestone. Disney Pin Trading officially commenced in October 1999 at Epcot during the Millennium Celebration, expanding to other Disney Parks worldwide shortly thereafter, making 2025 a quarter-century celebration of this beloved tradition. The Hatbox Ghost, a fan-favorite character, was an original animatronic in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion when it opened in 1969, though he was quickly removed due to technical difficulties with his disappearing head effect. He made a highly anticipated return to the attraction in 2015 for Disneyland's 60th anniversary and was subsequently added to Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion in 2023. This Open Edition (OE) pin is part of the "Pin Trading 25th Anniversary" Hidden Disney set, which includes five regular pins and one Chaser, making it a more sought-after piece within the collection. Released at Disneyland Resort on January 1st, 2025, these Hidden Disney pins are initially obtained by trading with Cast Members and later become available in mystery pouches.
